Reviewing 2019 and setting challenges for 2020 - it's all about FOCUS!

For many of us moving into a new year is a time to review past events and make new plans, and it's no different for Physiopedia.  We always use this time to reflect on all that happened in the past year and to learn from those happenings to make a plan for the next 12 months.

At the start of this new decade we'd like to inspire you to do the same, grab a cuppa and take some time to see what Physiopedia got up to in 2019 and what we are challenging ourselves and you to do in 2020.

What did Physiopedia do in 2019?

Physiopedia builds community, educates and advocates and 2019 has been a big year! We all honestly feel like it's been a bit of a whirlwind with the amazing end of year discovery that we have been ranked as one of the most popular health websites in the world! Physiopedia Co-founder, Rachael Lowe, has reflected on all that Physiopedia did in 2019, here are some of the highlights:

  • 12 million people from every country in the world viewed over 30 million pages on Physiopedia,

  • we welcomed 23 new volunteers to the team, making us a force of 65 people from 20 different countries,

  • there were 5 presentations by the Physiopedia team at WCPT Congress

  • we had over 20,000 people join the TBI MOOC,

  • the new Physiopedia app had 10,000 downloads in a week,

  • Physiopedia was 10 years old!

In 2020 we, as a team, will remember our vision of “a world where every person recognises the value of physiotherapy and has access to quality physiotherapy care” and FOCUS on our contributory mission to “provide universal and equitable access to all physiotherapy knowledge.” Will you join us?

At Physiopedia we take pride in our ambition, they say if you talk about something enough it will surely happen! In 2020 we are challenging ourselves to do better and we invite you to join us.

What better way to FOCUS for 2020 than by setting yourself a challenge? As we embark on the new year ahead, we invite you to join us in challenging yourself - personally, professionally, and as an advocate for our wonderful profession. We've put a few ideas down to get you thinking, so why not get together with friends and colleagues and make a plan for how you'll join us in challenging yourself in 2020.
